STAR SIGNS AND HOW TO READ THEM

Is our future in the stars?  How do we interpret them?

For thousands of years men have believed that their future is somehow influenced by the stars. From ancient times the opinion of star-watchers has been keenly sought.

The word Zodiac comes from an Arab word meaning road.  The same names for the Constellations were used by the Arabs and Chinese about 3500BC, the Egyptians about 2700BC and the Greeks in 800 BC even though they do not really resemble the names given to them, virgin, fishes, goat etc.  This suggests a common ancient origin.

The ancients regarded Virgo the virgin, as the first of the constellations which puts Leo the lion last. This may explain the mystery of the Sphinx in Egypt which has the head of a man or woman and the body of a lion.

The Bible says God named the stars and gave them for signs. (Genesis 1v14, Psalm 147 v4)

  •The last four speak of the end of the age

HOW DOES THIS EFFECT US TODAY?

The Lord is totally interested in each of our lives, “Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins?  And not one of them is forgotten before God.  But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.  Do not fear therefore you are of more value than many sparrows” (Luke 12 v6-7). .

He wants us to take control of our lives, not have them controlled by some galactic activity taking place billions of miles away. “and the LORD will make you the head and not the tail ……if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God” ( Deuteronomy 28v13).

So it makes sense then that the signs He made should show us how He will help us do this
