PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

Hi, I’m Malcolm Matheson and I hope my experiences can benefit you.

I was raised on a farm and subsequently became a farmer myself, moving to a development farm in Kerikeri in 1976 with my wife and 3 children.   Although I enjoyed the life in the north, I started to feel there must be something more to life than what I was experiencing.

When my brother-in-law lay dying of cancer I felt powerless to help,  I prayed occasionally in case there was a God who might help but never saw any results that I could say were “of God”.

In 1981 a mate, whose life I could see had changed for the better, showed me from the Bible where Jesus said we must be born again if we wanted a complete life.

After much debate I got baptised expecting God to move if He was for real and 7 days later I received the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues for the first time, just as recorded in the book of Acts.

Many miracles have followed but it was with particular joy that I recently was able to pray for my sister-in-law, who was instantly healed of the cancer that was expected to take her life.
